Although researchers aren’t sure whether a vaccine or a coronavirus infection itself produces the stronger immune response, one thing is clear: The vaccine is far safer.
It’s difficult to predict who will survive a coronavirus infection unscathed. Given all of the unknowns — like a region’s hospital capacity, or the strength of a person’s immune response — choosing the disease over the vaccine is “a very bad decision.”
